Deeley was born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. She attended Grove Vale Infant School in Great Barr Sandwell, followed by Dartmouth High School in Great Barr, where she played the clarinet in the Sandwell Youth Concert Band. She then joined the sixth form at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School.

At age 14, Deeley entered a regional edition of a BBC competition for The Clothes Show, in which she reached the national finals. Spotted by an agent for Storm modeling agency, she was quickly signed as a model under her nickname of Cat to make it easier for clients to re-book her.

Storm tried to persuade her to leave school at age 16, when she had gained nine A-grade GCSEs; however, cautious Deeley continued her A-level studies at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School Sixth Form, where she gained four A-levels.

Paola Turbay Gómez (born November 29, 1970 in Houston, USA[1]) is a Colombian-American actress of Lebanese descent,[2] model, and television presenter.

Turbay represented Bogotá in the Miss Colombia beauty pageant, which she won in 1991. She was the first runner-up in the 1992 Miss Universe competition.[citation needed]

After finishing her studies in psychology at the Universidad de los Andes, Turbay focused on her career as a model and presenter in entertainment news segments on Noticias QAP and Noticiero C newscasts, as well as an actress, with shows like Hola Paola ("Hello Paola") during the 1990s. In 2005 she was the official presenter, with Miguel Varoni, of the National Beauty Pageant. She has also made cameo appearances in several Colombian series like O todos en la cama, Ecomoda (sequel to Betty la fea) and Leche ("Milk").

After studying acting in Hollywood, Florida, Turbay became the main character of the RCN TV comedy Noticias calientes ("Hot News") in 2002. Two years later she would star the telenovela Las noches de Luciana ("The Nights of Luciana") and in 2006 would present the Colombian version of Dancing with the Stars, Bailando por un Sueño. Paola has also made brief appearances in films such as Lenny the Wonder Dog and Love in the Time of Cholera.

In 2007, Turbay played Isabel Vega on the CBS series Cane, which was canceled in May 2008 after only one season. In 2008 she has been participating as a recurring guest star on the ABC series The Secret Life of the American Teenager.[3] She also guested on the Showtime series Californication (Season 2, ep. 8, "Going Down and Out in Beverly Hills") and had a recurring role as an LAPD detective during the fifth season of TNT's The Closer.

She was born Svetlana Viktorovna Khodchenkova on January 21, 1983, in Zheleznodorozhnyy, a small city about 6 miles east of Moscow, USSR (now Russia). She was raised by a single mother, attended a public school, and once dreamed of becoming a medical doctor. In 1998, at the age of 15, she started a career as a fashion model in Moscow, and also made a few international gigs. In 2000 she began her studies in the Moscow Institute of World Economics, but quit in favor of acting. From 2001 to 2005 she studied acting at the Shchukin Theatrical School of the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow, where she attended the class of Nina Doroshina and Alekandr Lyubimtsev, graduating in 2005 as an actress. However, they have since divorced.
Outside of her acting profession, Svetlana is skilled in horse-back riding. She is also fond of winter sports, such as alpine skiing; she practiced her downhill in the ski resort of Kurshevel, France.
